The Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University, organized the SPECIAL LECTURE & PUBLIC SPACE WORKSHOP: “Read – Engage – Create” on 10–11 September 2026 at Room AR-104-2, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University. The activities were held as part of the course 1106 427 Public Space Design and Planning, with the aim of connecting academic knowledge with professional experience in public space design and planning.
The activities continued the collaboration between the Faculty and D.O. Bond Co., Ltd., which focuses on two key areas: providing scholarships for students and supporting education and student development. Through these efforts, the collaboration seeks to expand educational opportunities while creating opportunities for students to learn from professional experience and apply their knowledge to the development of better and more sustainable public spaces.
Supporting Educational Opportunities Through Student Scholarships
As part of its educational support, D.O. Bond Co., Ltd. provided scholarships to students as a contribution toward expanding educational opportunities and supporting students in their continued learning and personal development.
The scholarship initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting students, who will play an important role in the future development of the architecture, design, and construction professions.
Advancing Education Through Professional Learning Experiences
In addition to providing scholarships, the company also supported the organization of special lectures and workshops to provide students with opportunities to learn from professionals and gain practical insights beyond the classroom.
These activities connect knowledge of architecture, design, and construction with real-world applications, allowing students to explore processes of thinking, analysis, and design development. The learning experience encourages students to read spaces, understand people, and create meaningful public spaces that respond appropriately to users and their surrounding contexts.
Workshop and Special Lecture
The program featured two complementary learning activities:
Workshop: Public Space Design Lab “Read – Engage – Create”
A hands-on workshop introducing participants to the processes of thinking, analyzing, and creating public space designs through the connection of space, people, and design. The workshop was led by Mr. Cee – Karin Tanglertpanya (Shma SoEn).
Special Lecture: “Sustainable Construction for Public Space”
A special lecture sharing concepts and knowledge related to sustainable public space construction, delivered by Mr. Kiattanant Wijitprapai, Product Specialist from Buzon Thailand.
